I got really lazy with the colouring. But that is okay, it goes with her cross eyes, and the weirdo cloak with no definition. Not to mention the out of place root at her feet.
As always, thank you guys so much for the comments. You know you RAWK.
Very nice work. She doesn't have crossed eyes however the eye on the right looks a little odd, but thats just me. I REALLY enjoy the background, I don't know why but I just do. The girl is really pretty but where the hell are her arms!? Is she like...a ghost?! I is scared (not really) But where you trying to make her a spirit or something? It seems a little odd how there isn't much of a definition of her arms...Oh well...

I know! The pupil is misplaced. But I am waaay too lazy to be bothered with minor details like having two functioning eyeballs let alone arms.
Considering the amount of light, I probably should have defined the arms a little bit more. OKAY-- a lot more. But by making a nice loose cloak, it let me be lazy and not make 'em.
Even though, a few wrinkles/highlights wouldn't have killed me, and it would have helped the doodle a lot more.
Mucho love for the indepth comment, as always Ms. Sam Sam.
I love this. I adore the higlighting of the hair and how the solid black of her dress flows into the frame with only the branch seperating it. I love the simple cell shading on everything but her face and hair - it's a wonderful contrast and such a delight for the eyes. ^_^ Love!

Wow, I dunno what you're talking about! This is gorgeous~ It's basic and looks almost cel-shaded. You go so into-detail with your colours all the time, this is so clean and cool and pretty~! I love it! The cloak COULD use some definition, but meh! It's fine without it.

I think it's very symbolic. Mebbe you didn't intend it to be that way, but hey, your genius shows even when you don't mean to.
I've stated it many times already, and I'll say it again: you draw such beautiful faces. I think that's what really gets to me, Heather. Your drawings are always good, but your faces are nothing short of breathtaking. I think you're a bit too overcritical with the eyes, here. The position of the face, and the area she's looking at, make the eyes look something like that. Sure, it's a teensy weensy bit exaggerated, but not even with close scrutiny does it look bad. Besides, those are GORGEOUS eyes!!
Moving down to the nose... God, I swear I could cry in sheer admiration. Everyone seems to forget the majesty that is a beautiful nose, but not you. It's subtle, graceful, a very noble, feminine nose. Below her nose are those sensuous, red lips. OH BABY!! I'd die a happy Koki if I could steal one kiss from those lips.
Hair. O M freakin' G!! Autumn-red hair that spills down her head, silken cascades that caress her neck and shoulder, seeming like the flaming halo of some majestic seraph! See? Now you got me being all scripture/poetic. That's how good all of this is.
Moving down to the body, I have to say that the entire lack of detail on the body is SHEER GENIUS!!! I don't know exactly why, but the dark silhouette that are her curves make her look so alluring, so mysterious. Couple it with the face of a goddess, and you can clearly think of her as some divinity of nature, a modern Demeter that holds all the seasons in herself. Black body for winter, red hair for autumn, scarlet lips for spring, and cloudless sky-blue eyes for summer. Even the root serves as symbolism. The root shows where the ground is, and below it, underground, the eternal black that makes this woman's cloak springs out. You really can't get more earth goddess than that, you know.
Background is beautiful in its simplicity and the shading style you used. It looks like you utilized watercolours to paint the sylvan forest, the softness of it all contrasting poetically with the sharp colours of the main character. This makes her stand out instead of blend in, adding to her charisma.
Phew! I really can't find anything else to say. Well, one more thing: you RAWK MORE!!!

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

That is excellent. Yeah sure the cape could have done with shading, but it still looks damn cool anyway.
